Master Segue technology and become a Segue Certified SilkTest Engineer (SCSTE)

Objectives

To ensure that consultants, partners, and customers follow a standardized process to achieve certification for SilkTest. This process will ensure that candidates demonstrate a functional knowledge of the product as well as possess the ability to create and run tests to validate accuracy within an application under test.

Requirements

Individuals interested in obtaining this certification must fulfill the following requirements:

Step 1

• Successfully complete the Verification Testing with SilkTest (VTS) course
                                                  or
  Demonstrate at least three months of functional testing experience using SilkTest
• Successfully complete the SCSTE Exam 1 competency exam

Step 2

• Successfully complete the Advanced Testing with SilkTest (ATS) course. (required)
• Successfully complete the SCSTE Exam 2 competency exam

Required Tests

SCSTE Exam 1
     - 50 multiple-choice exam (Duration 90 minutes)

SCSTE Exam 2
     - 50 multiple-choice exam  (Duration 90 minutes)
     - Hands on exam (Duration 4 hours)

Grading Policy

SCSTE Exam 1 - 100 pts., 75% to pass

SCSTE Exam 2 - 100 pts., 80% to pass
      - In-class/online exercise completion (35 points)
      - Online multiple choice exam (25 points)
      - Hands-on exam (40 points)

• There are no additional test fees for individuals enrolled in the following courses
       - SilkTest - Verification Testing with SilkTest (VTS)
       - SilkTest - Advanced Testing with SilkTest (ATS)
   
• SCSTE Exam 1 Standalone (Course manual not included) - $150.00
   
• SCSTE Exam 1 Retake (Course manual not included) - $150.00
   
• SCSTE Exam 2 Standalone - Not Available
   
• SCSTE Exam 2 Retake (Course manual not included) - $200.00
